Touro University California Alumni Ambassador Program

Do you ever feel like you want to give back to some way to your alma mater but maybe you're not sure how? Giving back to your alma mater is more than just giving to scholarship funds, silent auctions, or going to reunions. We believe that alumni have a special place in the ongoing efforts of serving students (and other alumni) here at TUC. That's why we are launching the Alumni Ambassador Program!  

The TUC Alumni Ambassador Program aims to expand and promote the TUC Alumni Association network through engaged ambassadors. Alumni Ambassadors play key roles for Touro University California, in order to reconnect and gather the alumni community and act as a liaison between TUC and its alumni and prospective students.

Alumni Ambassadors will collaborate with the Alumni Office which also works in coordination with the Alumni Board.

Ambassador duties and key responsibilities :

  • Represents and advocate on behalf of TUC

  • Attend and represent the Association in events and conferences

  • Notify the Association of possible recruitment/ career opportunities, such as students or Alumni with whom they’ve come into contact and/or advertising opportunities

  • Provide the Alumni Association with your social media handles for tagging and reposting

  • Do one social media post a month

  • Forward us newsworthy items from the alumni community 

  • Attend two TUC events per year (either virtual or in-person)

  • Be available to speak to a class once a semester

  • Act as a point of contact for prospective students or alumni

  • Share updates with your circle

 

Requirements:

  • Be an Alum of TUC (graduated)

  • Approval from respective program

  • Represent TUC Alumni Association in a positive and honest light

  • Commit to a minimum one-year term as an Alumni Ambassador. 

  • Be enthusiastic, show initiative and have excellent social and communication skills.

  • Be willing to carry out some volunteer tasks for the Association and willing to receive emails from Alumni to request support, assistance and/or information.

  • Be a contact person for prospective students, and guide applicants if they have questions.

  • Have a desire to network and gain valuable contacts.
